Financial aid

Financial Aid

The College training is heavily subsidized through government funding, students are expected to contribute to their education costs, including tuition fees, upkeep, and accommodation. It is anticipated that parents and guardians will cover these expenses to help students achieve their goals.

However, some students come from financially challenged backgrounds and may face difficulties during their training. To address this, the College, in collaboration with partners, has established several funding opportunities:

KMTC Students' Finance Scheme

This revolving fund, provided by the government and managed by the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), allows students to borrow money and repay it at a 4% interest rate once they secure employment. All KMTC students are eligible for this fund. Our partner, Johnson & Johnson also provides financial support through the Higher Education Loans Board, but only for students enrolled in Higher Diploma Nursing programs.

The Rattansi Educational Trust offers bursaries to KMTC students facing financial difficulties. This fund is managed by the College. Students can apply by writing to the CEO. Further guidelines are available from the Student Affairs Office.

This fund is accessible through the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF) offices.

The Toyota Kenya Foundation provides funding to individual students in Arid and Semi-Arid areas.

The College continues to seek additional funding options for students enrolling at KMTC. For more information, please contact the Deputy Registrar of Student Affairs at KMTC headquarters or the Dean of Students at each Campus.
