Chairperson's Message

On behalf of the KMTC Board of Directors, I welcome you to the KMTC website.
 
The interactive website is part of our deliberate efforts to remain connected with the world, and especially with the College’s stakeholders.
 
KMTC is a key institution in the achievement of the Government’s Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA), Universal Health Coverage (UHC) as well as the Kenya Vision 2030, specifically the social pillar, where Education and training and Health are identified as welfare projects and programmes to support this. This is because the College is expected to train health professionals to bridge the human resource gaps in the health sector.
 
The Board has continued to provide a clear road map to steer the College towards achieving its Vison of being “a model institution in training and development of competent health professionals”. The College remains the leading mid-level health training institution in the region and beyond.
 
The Board continues to develop Policies to strengthen internal processes and procedures, steering the College to enhanced training of health professionals to address the gaps that exist in the health sector, thus supporting achievement of the President’s agenda of Universal Health Coverage.
 
The Board is alive of the Constitutional right to highest attainable standards of health which can only be attained by availing highly trained medical personnel. To achieve this, the Board is working closely with the National and County Governments along with other partners to strengthen the College’s infostructure. In line with its transformative expansion agenda aimed at consciously increasing training opportunities, the College has 90 Campuses spread across the country with over 60,000 students.
 
The College produces over 20,000 graduates annually, strategically deployed to health facilities nationwide and globally, delivering essential healthcare services.

Excellent performance will be the epitome of the Board’s resolve to ensure continued improvement in the College’s service delivery to its clients so that it can more resoundingly contribute to the social-economic growth of this country and the global populace. This resolve will remain the Board’s motivation in changing the direction taken by the College, towards pursuing excellence in training healthcare professionals.
