Staff Retirement Benefit Scheme hits Kshs 1.87 billion in assets
The KMTC Staff Retirement Benefit Scheme has grown to Kshs 1.87 billion in assets, Board Chairman Prof. Phillip Kaloki has said. This is the figure as at August 2014, and it is projected that the scheme will hit two billion by the end of the year.

The Chairman said this at Kisumu MTC during a member education programme held to enlighten members about their rights and obligations, as well as to provide financial management education to help them prepare for retirement. Board of Trustees Chairman Mr Samuel Afubwa assured members of "prudent management of the scheme" by trustees.

It has come to the attention of the college that some unscrupulous individuals using various cell phone numbers are sending text messages to new students who are expected to join the college in September 2014 asking them to send money via Mpesa to book for accommodation.

The college would like to state that it has not asked anybody to send money via Mpesa for any purpose. KMTC operates one Mpesa business number, 964150, to which all Mpesa transactions are channeled through.

For students wishing to confirm availability of accommodation in the campuses they have been sent to, please get in touch with your respective college principals through the telephone numbers provided in the joining instructions attached to your admission letters.

In case of any enquiries please call the following numbers 0706-5418690706-541869, 0737-3525430737-352543, 0772-5920950772-592095.

Please share the information widely.
