Machakos MTC is located within Machakos town. It has two campuses:-
- Main Campus within Machakos town on the eastern side less than 600metres from Katoloni to Makueni road. It is a few metres from Machakos General Hospital.
- Kenya Israel Campus is located a few metres on the left side to Machakos to Nairobi road four Klometeres from Machakos town.
Nursing
In-service - upgrading ECHN to KRCHN
In the man campus, it has the majority of students. It was started in 1959 as a school of training Enrolled Nurses.
It now trains Diploma in Nursing and also upgrades Kenya enrolled Community Health Nursing to Kenya Registered Community Health Nurses manned by ten (10) lecturers.
Clinical Medicine
In-service.
It is in the main campus and the first students were admitted in September 2004. It is manned by four (4) permanent and several contracted lecturers.
Pharmacy department
In-service.
At Kenya Israel Campus, the first class was started in 2007 September. It is manned by 6 lecturers and several contracted.
Environmental Health Sciences
Upgrading Certificate into Diploma.
Opened its door as a European Primary School Kenya/Israel government started a joint course of MDPS in community medicine, later started to train Clinical Medicine who were transferred to Nakuru.
In 1979, it started admitting students for PHT at the same time UoN were using as medical school for interns.
PHO full class was started in 1998. It is manned by 6 lecturers.
Medical laboratory Sciences
In-service.
The first students were admitted in October 1981. These were Medical Laboratory Technicians but the college now trains Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology. It is manned by five (5) lecturers.
Machakos MTC has confirmed to participate in the eight inter-zonal competition.
