History
The college was started in 1978 by TYROL an Austrarian Organization. Its objective was to train personnel to address the problems of maintenance and repair of public hospitals facilities. This was the first institution in the country to offer such kind of training.

It was then known as Hospital Maintenance Training School (HMTS). It started off with 6 students drawn from Ministry of Health staff from various hospitals in the country. They qualified as artisans after one-year training. In 1987 the course was upgraded to Technician level and students enrolment increased to 18.

Since then, the college has been training Medical Engineering Technicians and majority serve as maintenance Technicians in public hospitals.



Location
The college is located within Loitokitok District Hospital, in Loitokitok District. It is 200 Kilometres south of Nairobi right at the slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro.



Courses Offered
Currently the college offers certificate in Medial Engineering.



Sports
Our students participate in various games including:-

  • Darts
  • Table Tennis
  • Badminton



Students Representative Council
The college has a well structured student's council which provides the necessary link between administration, staff and students.
