Introduction
Psychiatric nursing is the speciality of nursing that cares for people of all ages with mental illness or mental distress, such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, psychosis, depression or dementia.

Minimum Entry Requirements
The minimum admission requirements are:
  • Holder of Diploma in Nursing from any recognized training institution and Registration by a Nursing Council
  • Two years working experience


Scope
This higher diploma programme is available in Nairobi KMTC

Intake Period
  • September intake
  • March intake

Applications are posted in December and January


Course Duration
The period for this programme is 1 Year fulltime
