Physiotherapy is a health care profession concerned with human function and movement and maximising potential.
Physical therapy (using physical approach) is concerned with identifying and maximizing quality of life and movement potential within the spheres of promotion, prevention, treatment/intervention, habilitation and rehabilitation. This encompasses physical, psychological, emotional, and social well being taking account of variations in health status.
The Physiotherapy programme takes a minimum of three (3) academic calendar years.
These are divided into six (6) semesters with various modules.
- Semester one runs from September to the end of February with a two-weeks (2) Christmas break.
- Semester two runs from the second week of February to the end of June.
