Environmental Health Science trains Public Health Officers who function in a multidisciplinary setting in the community and emphasize a shift from Curative Health to Preventive Health Care

Basic diploma in Environmental Health sciences
Minimum entry requirements
Minimum pass (C-plain); English, Kiswahili, any three sciences
Course duration
The course lasts three years on full time basis
In- service diploma in EHS (regular)
Currently targeted to Public Health Technicians (PHTs)to upgrade them to PHOs, the diploma course is currently being offered at Nakuru, Kabarnet, Kisumu, Kakamega, Msambweni, Machakos,Embu, Nyeri and Lodwar MTCs.
Current (evening) Programs
In-service diploma in EHS
Offered at MTC, Nairobi, the course is conveniently designed for working public health technicians.
Requirements
A certificate in Environmental Health Science from KMTC.
