The Department of Nutrition upholds that there is malnutrition due to lack of knowledge in nutrition, inability to adjust to changing feeding and food production patterns, environmental conditions and new technologies affecting food. Therefore, there is need for a suitably qualified person to supply the necessary education and information to the community on a continuous basis. Hence our goal is to improve the general well-being and quality of life of individuals, families and community through participation and promotion of affordable and accessible nutrition practices and technologies.

K.C.S.E Aggregate grade C
MANDATORY SUBJECTS
• C in English or Kiswahili
• C in Biology or Biological sciences
